Photos of bullied kid’s family shows them waving Confederate flags and attacking Kaepernick

A number of athletes and celebrities rallied around Keaton Jones, a young boy from Tennessee who has been a victim of bullying at school, after a video posted by his mother went viral.

Jones’s mother, Kimberly, posted a clip of her son in tears after being bullied on Friday. Jones wrote that Keaton wanted to be filmed “after he had me pick him up again because he was afraid to go to lunch.”

Keaton detailed how other students called him ugly, made fun of his facial features and said he had no friends. Keaton said students poured milk on him and put ham down his clothes.

“Just out of curiosity, why do they bully?” Keaton said in the video. “What’s the point of it? Why do they find joy in taking innocent people and find a way to be mean to them? It’s not OK. People that are different don’t need to be criticized about it. It’s not their fault. If you are made fun of, just don’t let it bother you.”

Celebrities and athletes like Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, Chris Evans, LeBron James and members of the Tennessee Titans all sent messages of support to Keaton.

And while no one deserves the bullying Keaton has experienced, a more thorough search of his family’s social media presence revealed some disturbing details.

Numerous photos show the Jones family waving Confederate flags — often used as symbols of hate by white supremacist groups due to its link to the slavery-driven Confederacy during the Civil War — and Kimberly Jones had several posts in which she effectively bullied black athletes who knelt in protest of inequality during the national anthem.

She also clearly alludes to corporal punishment with a switch — a rod created from a branch used to strike a child. The phrase “pick a switch” refers to a system where children go and cut the rod that will be used to hit them.

Other users verified that the posts by Kimberly were real and posted their own findings regarding the Jones family’s controversial views.
